Kayaba Strenghtens Logistics
Support to UK Aftermarket
|
February, 2005 |
Kayaba UK has improved its logistics support to the aftermarket with
an additional warehouse facility and new Warehouse Manager.
Located next to Kayaba UK in Warrington, the new warehouse will provide
an additional area of 5,000 square metres, with a stockholding capacity
of 42,000 components and space for 500 pallets. This new facility will
improve the supply of parts to the UK aftermarket, enabling Kayaba to
meet its high speed delivery targets.
Designed to maximise capacity, the warehouse has a narrow aisle and short
beam layout and uses specialist flexi trucks.
To ensure Kayaba's distribution and warehouse operation runs smoothly,
Kayaba has also created the new role of Warehouse Manager and appointed
Chris Flood, 32.
Chris says, "This new role presents a fresh challenge in a dynamic environment
and the extra warehouse facility will enable Kayaba to offer customers
a faster, efficient and improved level of service." Chris was previously
employed at logistics company, Exel where he worked his way up to management
level.
