KYB Supplies Shocks to New Auris
|
February, 2007 |
KYB is further strengthening its relationship with Toyota by supplying
front and rear shock absorbers as original equipment (OE) for the new
Auris.
The Auris was designed at Toyota's European Design Development centre
and is one of the first new generation Toyotas to be manufactured in Europe.
This new family hatchback is larger than the Corolla it replaces and is
being built on an all-new platform.
With engine sizes ranging from a 1.4-litre petrol to a 2.2-litre diesel,
the Auris is specially engineered to give maximum performance with excellent
fuel economy and low emissions.
Hajime Sato, managing director of KYB Europe says: "By continuing to supply
Toyota, KYB demonstrates its commitment to building successful and long
term business relationships with major car manufacturers. This C-Segment
vehicle is set to be a popular choice with motorists and we are very happy
to be supporting this step forward with Toyota in Europe."
In addition to Toyota, KYB also supplies numerous other original equipment
vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) around the world, including Audi-VW Group,
Ford, General Motors, Mitsubishi, PSA Peugeot Citro?n and Renault. A quarter
of all new cars leaving the production line are fitted with KYB shocks
as original equipment making KYB the world's largest supplier of OE shock
absorbers to vehicle manufacturers.
