Q. Why do I need to change shock absorbers at the same time as springs?

Shock absorbers and coil springs work together keeping the tyre in contact with the road. If the coil spring fails it will place extra stress on the shock absorber, therefore to maintain good tyre contact with the road, shock absorbers should be replaced at the same time, in axle pairs.
