New European Headquarters
|
November 2003 |
Having successfully developed its European business over the past
few years, Kayaba Industry Company Ltd, one of world's largest manufacturers
of shock absorbers and suspension components has now opened a new
European headquarters in Krefeld, near Dusseldorf, Germany. Kayaba
has greatly expanded its business across Europe with newly opened
facilities in Italy and Spain. The company also has well established
divisions in France, Germany and the UK.
The new head office covers an area of 10,000 square metres, and
has a stockholding capacity of 350,000 components - twice what was
available previously. The new facility replaces Kayaba's former
headquarters at nearby Meerbusch, which was spread over five different
sites, and eases logistics by consolidating everything in one place.
The new warehouse increases Kayaba's total storage capacity in Europe
to over 500,000 components. This greatly enhances the supply of
parts to the European aftermarket, enabling the company to meet
its high delivery targets for availability and speed of shipment.
As the new head office is in close proximity to the previous location,
disruption caused by the move was kept to a minimum. The new offices
are well located, with easy access to road, rail and air links.
Commented Mr Hajime Sato, Managing Director of Kayaba Europe GmbH:
"We decided on Krefeld because it offers us an excellent location
and fulfils all our criteria. It is easily accessible, modern and
greatly increases our potential for further expansion in Europe."
