Kayaba Springs Ahead With New Coil Spring Catalogue
|
July, 2005 |
Kayaba has launched an all new European catalogue for 2005 for
its range of K-Flex replacement coil springs.
The comprehensive 424 page catalogue has full details of all KYB
K-Flex branded coil springs and includes applications for cars and
car derived vans (CDVs) and light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
There are over 3,000 different part number covering a vast range
of vehicles, from a 1972 Alfasud to a 2005 Volvo XC90, or a Ford
Transit to a 4.2 V8 Range Rover.
Coil springs are a vital part of a vehicle's ride control and are
responsible for comfort and ride height. Kayaba recommends that
coil springs are replaced every four years or 50,000 miles as general
wear and tear can lead to reduced performance and safety.
Kayaba supplies several types of coil springs, including taper wire
miniblock springs (the same as OE) where the wire diameter reduces
in size towards the ends of the spring. The taper wire technology
ensures the spring increases its resistance as it is compressed
and the compact design guarantees noiseless operation.
KYB K-Flex replacement coil springs are manufactured to original
equipment specification, including tapered wire and miniblock designs
- as used by Audi, BMW, Renault, Vauxhall/Opel and Volkswagen -
and where possible should be installed with KYB shock absorbers,
mounting and protection kits.
