March, 2007 |
KYB has increased its original equipment (OE) business with Mitsubishi
and PSA Peugeot Citroën by supplying shock absorbers for the Mitsubishi
Outlander, Peugeot 4007 and Citroën C-Crosser.
All three vehicles were shown at the Geneva Motor Show, and while
Mitsubishi continues to build on its success in the 4x4 sector,
the 4007 and C-Crosser represent the first venture into this market
for the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group.
While both the 4007 and C-Crosser utilise Mitsubishi's proven four
- wheel drive system, the 4007 also has its own bespoke set up for
the road. Thanks to an efficient 2.2 litre HDi diesel engine, both
the 4007 and C-Crosser offer drivers an environmentally-friendly,
yet powerful performance, while the Outlander features a 2.0 litre
16 valve, turbocharged DI-D engine.
In addition to Mitsubishi and PSA Peugeot Citroën, KYB also supplies
numerous other original equipment vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) around
the world, including Audi-VW Group, Ford, General Motors, Renault
and Toyota.
Over 1 in 4 of all new cars leaving production lines worldwide are
fitted with KYB shocks as original equipment making KYB the world's
largest supplier of OE shock absorbers to vehicle manufacturers.
