Technical Information

Renault Clio - KYB part numbers 633824, 333824 & 633825, 333825
The original equipment shock absorber for 1990-93 was fitted with a circlip, and the 1994 on version was fitted with a nut. However the above KYB part numbers all use a nut and there is no need to use the circlip when replacing them.

Citroen AX, Saxo, Peugeot 106 - KYB part numbers 665067, 665502, 365087, 365506
Some of the OE shock absorbers for these vehicles have an angled collar before the threaded stud of the piston rod, there is a spacer which fits into the rubber bushing of the top suspension mount. If you remove that type of OE shock absorber, you must remove & dispose of the spacer, as it is built into the KYB piston rod.

Subaru Forester
rear - KYB part numbers 334192/91
Some vehicles have self levelling suspension. It is possible to fit standard (non self levelling) suspension onto a Subaru Forester vehicle that has self levelling as OE, however the result is a car that sits low at the rear.

Vauxhall Vectra B - 95-02 model with rear shock absorber KYB part 341907. The OE spring seat should be re-used on the new KYB shock (it is supplied without a spring seat).
